Configuration Overview

You can update and query configuration settings stored in the database by using configuration forms from your web browser or by entering linemode commands from a VM userid.

When you use configuration forms, the web browser issues a userid/password challenge. Specify the VM userid and password of a VM userid, such as VMRMAINT, that has VM:Webgateway SYSADMIN authorization.

Enter commands from a VM userid that has VM:Webgateway SYSADMIN authorization or from the VM:Webgateway service virtual machine.

If you want to configure SSL Feature to use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to secure data that is transmitted between VM:Webgateway and web browsers, see the System Administrator SSL Tasks section.

The configuration quick reference provides a one-stop page that contains links to each of the configuration forms and their associated documentation. You may want to bookmark this page so you can quickly access the configuration forms.
