| | Setting Up VM:Webgateway to Serve Files from User PagesAllowing User Pages | Identifying the Initial Access File | Identifying a Default User Page Location You can configure VM:Webgateway to allow individual VM users to serve data from their VM userids. This is referred to as serving data from user pages. Allowing user pages is optional. If you want to control access to the data that users serve from their user pages, you can set up an initial ACCESS file that contains access control rules for all user pages. In addition, you can identify a default location for user pages. Allowing User PagesYou can configure VM:Webgateway to allow user pages either from a web browser or a VM userid that has SYSADMIN authorization. From a web browser: Use the Allow End Users to Serve Data configuration form. Respond Yes to the question Allow VM:Webgateway to serve data from user pages? From a VM userid: Enter the CONFIG USERPAGES command with the YES parameter. Identifying the Initial Access FileIf you want to set up access control for all user pages, create an ACCESS file that contains the access control rules for user pages. Place the initial access file on a minidisk or SFS directory that is accessed by the VM:Webgateway SVM. When you configure VM:Webgateway to allow user pages, identify the name of the initial ACCESS file as follows: From a web browser: Use the Allow End Users to Serve Data configuration form. Specify the filename of the initial ACCESS file in the space provided. From a VM userid: Enter the CONFIG USERPAGES command with the ACCESS parameter, followed by the filename of the initial ACCESS file. Identifying a Default User Page LocationBefore VM:Webgateway can serve data from a particular VM userid, VM:Webgateway must know where to find the data to serve for the userid. The location of the data to serve is the user page location. The user page location can be one of the following:
A VM:Webgateway system administrator can enter the CONFIG USERROOT command to define a default location for all user pages. For example, a system administrator can define the default location for all user pages to be the user's 191 minidisk. If the system administrator has not defined a default user page location, a user (or the system administrator) can enter the SET USERROOT command to define a location for his user pages. If the system administrator has defined a default location for user pages, a user or system administrator can enter the SET USERROOT command to override the default location. You can configure a default user page location from a web browser or a VM userid with SYSADMIN authorization: From a web browser: Use the Allow End Users to Serve Data configuration form. From a VM userid: Enter the CONFIG USERROOT command. |
