Identifying System Administrators

You can identify VM userids as VM:Webgateway system administrators.

A system administrator is a VM userid that has VM:Webgateway SYSADMIN authorization. System administrators are responsible for configuring and maintaining VM:Webgateway. System administrators can use the configuration forms and issue any VM:Webgateway command that requires SYSADMIN, SYSOPER, or no authorization. In addition, VM userids identified as system administrators receive messages intended for system administrators.

You can add or delete system administrators either from a web browser or from a VM userid that has SYSADMIN authorization:

Web browser
Use the Configuring System Administrators configuration form.

VM
Enter the CONFIG SYSADMIN command. If there is no VM userid with SYSADMIN authorization, enter the CONFIG SYSADMIN command from the VM:Webgateway service virtual machine console to define a system administrator.

Note: The default database that is shipped with VM:Webgateway identifies the userid VMRMAINT as a system administrator.
