Converting Webshare Configuration

To convert existing Webshare configuration information to VM:Webgateway configuration information, follow these steps:

  1. Run the VIWCVTWC utility.

This utility uses the Webshare configuration file to create the VIWINIT EXEC. The VIWINIT EXEC contains VM:Webgateway CONFIG commands. Each CONFIG command in the VIWINIT EXEC adds Webshare configuration information to the VM:Webgateway configuration.

Run the utility from a VM userid that has access to both the utility and the Webshare configuration file. Neither Web Server nor Webshare have to be running while the utility runs.

  2. Review the VIWINIT EXEC. Delete CONFIG commands that incorporate settings from the Webshare configuration file that you do not want set in the VM:Webgateway configuration.

  3. Run the VIWINIT EXEC from a VM userid that has VM:Webgateway SYSADMIN authorization.
