Need:
  1. Eye protection,
  2. Screw driver to open Lorain,
  3. Wrench to remove battery lead.


  1. Verify fuses 21 & 22 (+130V G1 and -130V G1) are out on the -48V DIST plate of P.BD.2.

  2. Remove fuses 2 (RTB) and 1 (RTA).

  3. Remove fuse 3 (3XB-MISC ABS (Alarm Bat. Sup.)).

  4. Remove fuse 4 (SXS Demonstrator).

  5. Remove fuse 5 (unlabeled-701 ringing machine).

  6. Remove fuse 6 (unlabeled-701 TST lamp jacks).

  7. Remove M00 LDA and M00 LDB (100 AMP) on P.BD.3.

  8. Turn off CB1 on Lorain.

  9. Turn off CB2 (behind cover).

    Caution: always wear eye protection when working around exposed terminals and battery strings.

  10. Remove negative lead from (-) post of battery "24".

  11. Remove fuses 1, 5, 41 & 45 on P.BD.1 (left hand row of bottom fuse bank), leave in sockets.

    The following steps are optional depending on whether Charles wants the small power plant(?) to back feed the 701 ringing machine.

  12. Connect jumper to top terminals of fuse positions 4 & 5.

  13. Locate -130 DIST plate in RR 102.09 in the SXS area.

  14. Insert fuse 3 (15A) for GEN/G5 (top right duplex switch near Fort Kent controls power to G5).

  15. Verify SXS Demonstrator has power.

  16. Place test call(s) through 740 to make sure the RM is working and a fuse doesn't blow.

  17. Return tools.

  18. Go to Frenchboro and pull first/left two Proctor E&M cards on the lower shelf of the toll bay (leave in slots).

  19. Inform 'Engineering' of operational statuses.
