A CLLI (Common Language Location Identification) code is an alphanumeric code used to identify switches, points of interconnection, as well as other types of network elements and their locations.
The technology and function switch types are represented by Entity Codes found in positions nine through eleven of a Network CLLI; they include:
SG(x) Selector Group (Step-by-Step)
DG(x) Decoder Group (Panel)
MG(x) Marker Group (Crossbar)
CG(x) Control Group (Non-digital ESS)
DS(x) Digital Switch (Host/Stand-alone digital ESS)
RS(x) Remote Switch (Digital remote)
RL(x) Remote Line concentrator (Remote with limited switching capabilities)
