Film music that does more than just take up space in a movie. Hear why Morricone is respected by the world at large and revered by artists as diverse as Stan Ridgway (ex-Wall of Voodoo), John Zorn, Bill Laswell, B.A.D. (and the Clash before them) and Cameo, among others. The music is hard to classify. It's not jazz, rock, pop, classical or anything that is easily defined. Even "film music", though certainly apt, doesn't quite cut it as a descriptive term regarding Ennio Morricone's compositions. A brief list of films represented here: Exorcist II: The Heretic, Il Gatto; Once Upon A Time in America; The Untouchables, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Big Gundown, Once Upon a Time in the West, Sacco & Vanzetti, A Fistful of Dollars, For A Few Dollars More.
