Fleming McWilliams does some pretty amazing vocal gymnastics on this disc. I can't say that I've heard anyone quite like her, though some similarities can be found in music by Jane Siberry, Happy Rhodes and a number of folk vocalists who like to meander around in their higher registers and experiment. Fleming and John's music doesn't pigeonhole well, either. It's simple and operatic one minute, busy and psychedelic the next. It is, however, a wonderful disc to get wrapped up in. R.E.X. Music, P.O.
