Neat recording that shows off the vocal prowess of Valerie Forgione. The music is varied, but never really ventures into loud or aggressive styles. A good three-word description would be 'ethereal gothic folk'. On the folk side there are times when she recalls Suzanne Vega from her first album and others when she recalls a more lifelike Natalie Merchant. On the ethereal/gothic side there are times when Liz Fraser (Cocteau Twins) is a better reference point. Very neat stuff! Mistle Thrush, P.O.
