Droning stuff that, at times, actually manages to reach an escape velocity out of the dirge-heavy sound of their past work. Some of this new release is downright dance-y. Good chunks (definite emphasis on the chunk character of their music) of this album are pulled straight from some sort of gothic hell. Swans deserve your attention. Can you be dared to ignore this?
